Local storyteller Bill Myers, formerly of Earlville, has announced that he will tell Halloween stories on Friday, October 29, at 6 p.m. at Fox Ridge, outside the lodge at Starved Rock Park.

The stories are for everyone of all ages, and while Mr. Myers promises that the stories “will not traumatize the wee ones,” he says that he will make everyone in the audience jump at least once.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. Pumpkins from the Gast farm in rural Earlville will be available for each family.

The rain date is Sunday, October 31, at 3 p.m., inside the lodge.
