The American Red Cross says that blood supplies are critical, and said on Monday that it was then starting the third week of an emergency shortage of blood and platelets. A blood drive will take place at Earlville High School on Friday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are required. To make an appointment call 800-RED-CROSS, use the Red Cross Donor App, or go to RedCrossBlood.org; the website also has a list of other upcoming blood drives in the Earlville-Leland area.
