The LaSalle County Health Department has announced that a four-month program to provide eligible recipients of Women, Infant and Children (WIC) supplemental foor benefits goes into effect on Tuesday, June 1. Thanks to passage of the American Rescue Plan, the monthly benefit for each eligible recipient will increase to $35, through September. WIC benefits can be used along with SNAP benefits. Eligibility includes women (pregnant, breastfeeding or postpartum), infants, and children up to 5. If you have SNAP, Medicaid or meet current income guidelines, you qualify.
