The deadline to apply for Resource Bank’s Centennial Service Award scholarship has been extended to April 8, 2022.  Applications will be accepted by mail at any Resource Bank branch, at any Resource Bank drive-thru, or by emailing them to marketing@resourcebank.com.

Up to ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have been highly involved in volunteer work and community service during high school.  Successful applicants will have demonstrated characteristics of citizenship, commitment, ambition, determination, organization, generosity, and caring.

Involvement in community service during high school may include individual activities such as community beautification and clean-up projects, working with senior citizens, helping the homeless, volunteering for the local fire department, rescue squad, hospital, or donating time to a library, animal shelter, or park district.  It may also include organized activities such as Habitat for Humanity, 4-H, Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, and/or church activities.

Applicants must be high school seniors who will receive their diploma from an accredited high school in the communities served by Resource Bank during the 2021-2022 school year.  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and be attending an institution of higher learning beginning in the fall of 2022.  Applications for this scholarship can be picked up in the guidance office at local area high schools, any Resource Bank, or online at www.ResourceBank.com.
